Caleb had his 2month (but he's now 3 months - couldn't work us in sooner) check up today. He weighed in at a whopping 14lbs 3oz and is 24.5in long. That rice cereal is definitely sticking! He also did well with his shots - he took it like a man. I had to leave the room but Dave stayed with him. He even earned a Spider man sticker. He only let out one little cry.
He has discovered his hands in the past couple days - they are his new best friend. He gets upset sometimes when he can't find them or can't manage to quite get his thumb in his mouth. And he's so in love with them that they're ALWAYS moving which makes it IMPOSSIBLE for mom to trim his nails. I'm going to have to wait for a moment when he's in a deep enough sleep to clip them.
He has started smiling. It's not constant, and it's sometimes lopsided, but it's happening more and more. There is no better feeling in the world! He is all smiles and coos when he gets up in the morning. Love it!
He is sleeping better at night. He will usually go for 4-hour stretches. Mommy loves this. He goes to bed around 10, wakes up around 1:30-2, then again around 6 and back down till 9 or 10. I still freak out sometimes and have to get up and check that he's still breathing. Does that ever go away??
I have now switched formulas again - we are on Enfamil A.R. and he's doing REALLY well with it. His spitting up has been significantly reduced. So with that and the Prevacid, we're doing pretty good. Not near as much laundry as it used to be!
Caleb is also holding his head up very well. He wears out after being in his bumbo chair after 15-20minutes. But he loves the new viewpoint.
He's also been talking a lot more. He's started talking to himself in the car. I love it. Sometimes he coos along to the radio. It's so sweet!
Ceiling fans are still his favorite thing...for whatever reason. Whatever keeps him happy!
He also loves to chew on his little puppy dog blanket/rattle that he got from my friend Michele. He loves cuddling with it. Such a sweet boy!
