So today I had my 12 week ultrasound. I'll post pictures once I figure out the scanner....
I lost 13 lbs due to lovely morning sickness and STRONG food aversions. That was exciting - I felt like I gained 20 with how bloated I feel.
They took 8 tubes of blood. Well, 8 and a half. One of the vacuums stopped working on the vacutainers. Good thing I've got extra blood flowing through me or Dave would have had to scrape me off the floor. My blood sugar was already starting to run a little low.
My subchorionic bleed is COMPLETELY gone. No trace of it anywhere. So I am off all restrictions, with no threat of bed rest at this time...hooray for answered prayers!
Baby is totally fine. Has 2 arms and 2 legs and 10 fingers and 10 toes. He/She was sleeping while we were getting the ultrasound done, so the tech jiggled the ultrasound...wand?...on my tummy and baby woke up and started kicking and moving around. HR was 168. It was so weird seeing it move on the screen and not feel anything.
Right before the Dr visit my insurance called and said they had me in a program called "New Beginnings" I think- which is included in my plan - so I have an advice nurse I can call 24/7 whenever I have questions about me or the baby. And they're sending me a free book. Your Baby Week by Week I think it's called. Something like that. It would have been nice to know I had someone to call when I was having a meltdown last week thinking I'd lost the baby because I wasn't feeling sick and my pooch was gone and I wasn't peeing so often. Freakin' hormones! But, everything is fine.
So tonight I will be saying many prayers of thanks that all is well with the baby and me.

New Beginnings? Isn't that that thing we did every year in Young Women's? Haha.
I'm glad you're all better. I didn't know you were having a breakdown. You can always call me. It's good distraction for me from my own breakdowns. Oh, and I care and love you too. I guess that factors in somewhere.
So when will you start showing? I'm totally jealous you've lost weight. Ugh! Will you be showing when I get back in GA at the end of the month?
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATS!! I'm so excited for ya'll. I was looking on Jill's page and saw that ya'll had commented, so I thought I'd see how ya'll were doing!! Sorry to hear about the morning sickness. Hope everything is perfect!
